Moving Day
On
moving day there is very little for you to do as we will do
everything for you. There are, however, some things you can
do in the meanwhile to help us. If you live in a
flat/appartment please make sure you reserve a lift for the
day. Keep the things you will be carrying with you on the
flight separate from the main consignment. Be particularly
careful with passports, air tickets, etc. We will give you
Do Not Pack labels to identify large items not for
movement.
Do not take any flammable items such as aerosols, gas
cylinders or oil-based paints. Make sure that all your goods
are returned to the house before packing. These may include:
items sent for cleaning; goods kept at an office (unless we
are to collect them from there); things you have lent to
friends; etc.
The packing crew will have clear instructions showing them
exactly what to do. Walk through your home with the crew
leader to give him an overview of what is to be done. Be
sure that he is aware of any special needs or instructions.
Remember to keep keys, phones, etc to one side. Advise the
crew of any items which you will require immediately at
destination so they can load them last (if appropriate).
Feel free to call Monarch should you have any questions
during the packing which the crew leader cannot answer.
You don't need to be with the crew all the time but please
make sure that there is someone on hand to answer questions
as much as possible.
After packing is complete and before our crew has departed,
walk through your home to ensure nothing has been missed.
Ensure that you retain your own copy after checking and
signing the packing inventory.
